What the HECK!
I've never thought about writing poetry seriously, I've only done them for class and for a slight pass time thing. They use to be really morbid too. I'll eventually get my "Blood Stains" poem up here to give a general thought as to what I mean.
So, I'm going to be published, not as the author that I'm hoping for but hey being a poet's nice too.

They send you all this stuff to make you feel good, and then tell you that it's all worthless unless you pay for publishing and membership fees. I put up an email filter to block the 15 or so reminders about "how good I am" that they send me on a weekly basis.
Nessa did it too.
Not to say that your work isn't good, because I'm sure it is, but it's mostly a campaign for profit.
It is kinda nifty to have people send you certificates saying that you got editors choice, and a reserved page in a book dedicated to the top poets of 2007, and invitations to elite societies and conventions and stuff... But I get the feeling they send that to anyone who knows how to punctuate ANYTHING.
